Moore, Thirlby to Join De Niro and Dano in 'Another Night' Film

Four-time Oscar nominee Julianne Moore and stage and screen actress Olivia Thirlby will join Robert De Niro and Paul Dano in the upcoming film "Another Night," according to Variety. Paul Weitz is writing and directing the project.

The movie is based on Nick Flynn's 2004 memoir "Another Bulls Night in Suck City," tells the story of a young writer (Dano) who takes a job at a homeless shelter in Boston. He is then reunited with his long-absent father (De Niro) who is looking for a bed. Moore will play the mother of Dano's character (seen only in flashbacks), while Thirlby is set to play his love interest.

Moore's stage credits include "The Vertical Hour" and "Vanya on 42nd Street." She received Oscar nominations for "Far From Heaven," "The Hours," "The End of the Affair," and "Boogie Nights." She is also the author of the children's book "Freckleface Strawberry," which has recently been adapted into a musical running at New World Stages.

Thirlby starred in "Farragut North" at both New York's Atlantic Theatre and the Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles. Her film and television credits include "Juno," "United 93," "The Answer Man," and "Bored to Death."

Dano was recently seen on Broadway in John Guare's "A Free Man of Colo"r at Lincoln Center Theater. His other stage credits include "Inherit the Wind" and "Things We Want." His film credits include "There Will be Blood," "Where the Wild Things Are," "Gigantic," and "The Extra Man," as well as the upcoming "Cowboys & Aliens."

De Niro appeared on Broadway in "Cuba & His Teddy Bear," for which he received a Theatre World Award. He has won two Academy Awards, for "The Godfather," "Part II" and "Raging Bull." He also received nominations for his performances in "Taxi Driver," "The Deer Hunter," "Awakenings," and "Cape Fear."
