The National Arts Club announced the finalists for The 24 Hour Plays will include Bekah Brunstetter, Josh Koenigsberg, Margaret McCloskey, Megan Mostyn-Brown, Harrison Rivers, and Mac Rogers for the Montblanc Writers Project. Talenthouse.com will feature portions of the plays on their website and take votes to find the winner of the contest. The winner will be the feature of the next 24 Hour Plays.

Over 100 writers and 1,000 actors have helped create 300 new short plays since the inception of The 24 Hour Plays in 1995. Over its ten year history, The 24 Hour Plays have partnered with numerous charities and theatre companies to use the event as a way to raise funds. The 24 Hour Company has also been developing a replication program for student, professional and amateur groups based on their successful formula. Lindsay Bowen, Kurt Gardner, Philip Naude, and "The 24 Hour Plays" creator Tina Fallon are the producing team.

The National Arts Club was founded in 1898 by Charles de Kay. Charles de Kay was the literary and art critic for The New York Times for 18 years. He and a group of distinguished artists and patrons conceived of agathering place for artists, patrons and audiences in all the arts. American art at the turn of the century had begun to look inward for inspiration, rather than to Europe, and the American art world was alive with energy. As The National Arts Club moved into its first home in a townhouse on 34th Street, American art had found a new home.
