Monica Titus to Premiere Solo Cabaret at Winter Park Playhouse Image

The Winter Park Playhouse Spotlight Cabaret Series will feature musical theatre professional Monica Titus in her brand new solo cabaret, Not Your Mama's Leading Lady, March 21 and 22, 2018. Playhouse Musical Director Christopher Leavy will accompany on piano. Audiences have just recently seen Ms. Titus in The Playhouse production of Some Enchanted Evening this past August, which featured an entire score of Rodgers and Hammerstein hits.

Pulling from standard and contemporary musical theatre, Monica will treat guests to a mix of jazz, and well known theatre showtunes to weave an evening of delightful entertainment. This playful cabaret calls on all of the independent ladies, bad girls, broken hearted women and those that claim the "always a bridesmaid" title.

Ms. Titus has a background as a well-trained vocalist and is a graduate of the Mercer University with a B.A. in Music and Theatre. She has been seen in productions for numerous theatres in the region and is a regular in the Central Florida musical theatre scene.

"Monica is a fabulous performer with a glorious voice. Her new cabaret will be popular, so get your tickets early!"confirms Roy Alan, Playhouse Artistic Director.

General admission tickets are $20 plus a one drink minimum. Once sold out, a limited number of "Standing Room Only" tickets are available for $10. Seating is limited so advance reservations are strongly recommended. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for a 7:30 p.m. show.
