American history meets Jersey Shore by way of The Great Gatsby at DrinkTheDeal's presentation of "Thomas Jefferson & His Ragtime Orchestra" at mixology hotspot Theater Bar on June 24. The production, a comedic account of the life of the third President told through 1920s-style arrangements of current pop hits, is being staged as part of a three hour open bar event that runs from 9pm-12am.

Lauren Molina (Rock of Ages, Sweeney Todd) and American Idiot alumsAlysha Umphress and Leslie McDonel teamed up with show creator, NYC pianist/ arranger Scott Bradlee, to create unique, "jazz-age" arrangements of material from chart-topping artists such as Rihanna, Adele, and Cee-Lo Green.

The show also features performances by Niia (from Wyclef Jean's platinum hit, "Sweetest Girl (Dollar Bill)"), Verve recording artist Lucy Woodward, Tim Kubart (Tim and the Space Cadets), singing group
The American Bombshells, and a string quartet led by Kristine Kruta.

Theater Bar, located in TriBeCa at 114 Franklin St., is the latest creation from celebrity "cocktail artist" Albert Trummer.

The $25 admission includes the performance, an open bar with a freshly curated cocktail menu, and gourmet snacks. Quantities are limited, so visit www.DrinkTheDeal.com for reservations.
