Modern Art Etc. Presents Contemporary Photography and Art at Photography Exhibition Photo LA, 1/16

Modern Art Etc. is proud to present the contemporary artwork of Laura Kim, a Harvard law and Chicago University graduate / visual artist. Laura's "Sunrise" and "Diamond Mountains" are inspired by photography and paintings of ancient Korean mountains. Her signature stylized language of lines and dots create the form of mountainscapes and are symbolic of musical notes and inspired by musical compositions. A completely individualistic new artistic language in visual art, both laborious and painstaking, the finished palette suggests a rainbow and is inspired by the hues of French Impressionism. Laura's digital painting, "City of Angel's / Violet Horizon," will be premiering at Photo LA and blends the visual language of photography and painting.

A highlight of the exhibition is the award winning series of photographs by Jeff Gaydash, "A Threatened Legacy: Epilogue" (Silver Award, Professional Fine Art Architecture, Prix de la Photographie, Paris 2013). Gaydash's piezography prints captures "historic structures that were being threatened to be closed due to the severe population decline of the city of Detroit." Other photographs holding prestigious European awards include Alejandro Cerutti's award winning New York photos, and William Chua's art photography.

Established photographer, Todd Davis' stunning "Viscosity" series captures the art form created by the collision and blending of fluids. Davis regularly shoots for clients as diverse as Universal Records, Coca Cola, with his photographs in national and international advertising campaigns.

Another highlight is the exciting, inspired mixed media works of Anyes Galleani, whose portraits of people blend the visual languages of portraiture, painting and photography in mixed media on wood, and Sara Abbott's photography "Visiteurs" and mixed media art. Anyes has had a career as a celebrity photographer, working with celebrities as well as film studios. Sara has exhibited around the US and her works are in private and corporate collections.

LA photographer Robert Neil Cohen's work presents the spirit of California Dreamin' through eclectic landscapes in his series of California art photography.
