Moda Operandi unveiled its highly anticipated, exclusive collection that celebrates the 2013 Costume Institute exhibition,Punk: Chaos to Couture. With over 100 extraordinary items, the site showcases new pieces by twelve established and vanguard designers: Balmain, Dolce & Gabbana, Eddie Borgo, Ek Thongprasert, Givenchy, House of Waris, Moschino, Prabal Gurung, Preen, Rodarte, Thom Browne, and Vivienne Westwood. Also featured is one-of-a-kind customized clothing, plus rare vintage fashion and art objects that pay homage to punk, ranging in price from $100 to $13,000. "The enduring appeal of punk's avant-garde ideology is that it inspires designers across the spectrum of design sensibility," said Lauren Santo Domingo, Co-Founder of Moda Operandi. "Each designer has created pieces for this capsule collection that expresses their unique vision of punk's rebellious spirit."

In Moda Operandi's exclusive collection, the industry's leading designers pay homage to punk with limited-edition pieces that balance rebellion and refinement; including the doyenne of punk Vivienne Westwood who fashions a corset dress in the anti-establishment's favorite pattern: tartan. The piece de resistance of Givenchy's darkly romantic creations is a studded jacket that strikes the perfect balance between goth and grandeur.

Accessories make use of punk's most iconic adornments. Eddie Borgo offers an intricately hand-studded T-shirt that's just as at home in an art gallery as it is in your closet. Artistic statements are also made in a selection of one-of-a-kind graffiti'd Dr. Martens. For a dose of authentic anarchy, the collection also features punk-rock records, shredded band tees, and feathered mohawks.

Punk: Chaos to Couture, on view at The Metropolitan Museum of Art from May 9 to August 14, focuses on high fashion's appropriation of punk's avant-garde aesthetic- a theme symbolic of Moda Operandi's place at the intersection of time-honored luxury and digital innovation.

Individuals interested in seeing the collection in person can visit Thornwillow at The St. Regis New York, where select pieces are now on display.
