Helen Mirren, Meryl Streep and playwright Peter Morgan have continued to pick up awards for their film work. They were announced as winners of National Film Critics Circle Awards today.
Mirren, who plays Elizabeth II in The Queen, received the award for Best Actress, while Streep was honored for her performances as an equally regal fashion editor in The Devil Wears Prada and as a Midwestern radio singer in A Prairie Home Companion.
Morgan (Frost/Nixon), who penned The Queen, was awarded for Best Screenwriting.
Guillermo del Toro's Pan's Labyrinth received Best Picture, while Paul Greengrass was chosen as Best Director for United 93.
