Helen Mirren, Jennifer Hudson, Alan Arkin and Peter Morgan are among the winners of this year's British Academy Film Awards.

The BAFTA awards, which are considered the U.K.'s equivalent of the Oscars, were presented in London on February 11th.

Playwright Peter Morgan (Frost/Nixon) won Adapted Screenplay for his film The Queen, which also received the BAFTA as Best Film.  Mirren, its star, added another award as Best Actress to her mantel.

Dreamgirls star Jennifer Hudson also continued to celebrate a productive awards season with a BAFTA as Best Supporting Actress.  Theatre veteran Arkin won Best Supporting Actor for his turn in Little Miss Sunshine, while Forest Whitaker was awarded Best Actor for The Last King of Scotland.

Best Original Screenplay went to Michael Arndt for Little Miss Sunshine, while Paul Greengrass won as Best Director for United 93.
