Mind the Gap Theatre will present the US premiere of Georgia Fitch's ADRENALIN…HEART, which was called "fast-paced" and "engaging" by The Guardian when it premiered at the Bush Theatre in London.
Previews of ADRENALIN…HEART begin April 26 prior to an official press opening of April 28 at Space on White (81 White Street, between Broadway and Lafayette) in Manhattan.
Sex, race, drugs and verbals collide in Georgia Fitch's ADRENALIN…HEART, a terrifying roller-coaster of an intense affair between a single mum and a reluctant drug dealer on a north London estate. Erotic infatuation leads to addiction of a far more serious nature in this sharp, edgy and obsessive drama.
Directed by Mind the Gap Theatre's Artistic Director Paula D'Alessandris (THE CLERIC, UNDER THE BLUE SKY), the 70-minute two-hander ADRENALIN…HEART stars Mia Moreland and Lain Gray.
When it debuted in London, ADRENALIN…HEART was called, "Impressive. Very Impressive," by The Daily Telegraph. It was selected as a critic's choice by Time Out London - who said, "the effect of such fine, fearless writing and near flawless performances is as close to getting a needle in the ticker as you are likely to experience in the theatre." And the London Times said, "It fizzes with life both human and theatrical."
Before starting her solo writing career, Georgia Fitch co-wrote several plays with actress Tracy O'Flaherty including the critically acclaimed THE FOOTBALLER'S WIFE and COME DANCING (Old Red Lion). Between 2006 and 2008 Georgia was on attachment to Royal Court and Soho Theatre. In 2004 she was Writer in Residence at BBC Radio Drama. Her solo credits include: FIT AND PROPER (Soho Theatre), DIRTY DIRTY PRINCESS (National Theatre), I LIKE MINE WITH A KISS (Bush Theatre), ADRENALIN…HEART (Bush Theatre), ALONE (Etc Theatre), and ARRIVALS (Old Red Lion).
