From Miller Theatre Executive Director Melissa Smey: "I'm thrilled to continue the sixth year of our Pop-Up series with an amazing fall lineup. We welcome back two ensembles that received rave reviews from Miller audiences-Regional de NY and Genghis Barbie. The incredible clarinetists Joshua Rubin and Vasko Dukovski perform a program of works for bass clarinet, one of my favorite instruments for its vast range of color. And I'm honored to feature the Argus Quartet in their Miller debut-they are one of the most talented rising quartets in the field. I hope you'll join us often for these free and fun evenings of adventurous music." Genghis Barbie performing at Miller Theatre's Pop-Up series last year.

Hear them now before they make their Lincoln Center recital debut in 2018.
Joshua Rubin, clarinet; Vasko Dukovski, clarinet
The bass clarinet takes the lead in this Pop-Up featuring two of today's most acclaimed and versatile musicians. While this beautifully expressive instrument rarely sees the spotlight, it possesses an incredible array of sonic possibilities inspiring many contemporary composers. An eclectic program includes the world premiere Miller Theatre commission of Camila Agosto's work for two bass clarinets.
Hadar Noiberg, flute; Vitor Gonçalves, accordion; Kahil Nayton, cavaquinho; Cesar Garabini, 7-string guitar; Ranjan Ramchandani, percussion
The Brooklyn-based Brazilian choro band Regional de NY dedicates themselves to keeping the choro tradition alive, a music that is virtuosic, full of joy, and deeply grooving. Miller audiences first experienced the band with Anat Cohen in 2015, and they return to the stage for an energetic program sure to delight.
