Mike Yard Headlines Oyster Bay Comedy Night Tonight

Tonight, April 5, 2013 at 9pm, Periwinkles Catering and SGF Production, after a very successful grand opening March 15, continues its Friday Night Comedy Series at the Planting Fields (1395 Planting Fields Rd, Oyster Bay NY) with its first Headliner Stand-Up Comedy show featuring Mike Yard, Grant Gordon and Paul DeGrocco.

General Admission Tickets (via Ovation 866.811.4111) are just $20 at the door plus food & drink minimums. Comedy fans should also check out the various VIP seating options including THE LINDSEY LOHAN (Bottle Service Table for 8) and THE Billy Joel (Red & White Wine for Table of 8).

The event (and future performances in the series) will be held at the Historic Hay Barn at Planting Fields Arboretum State Historic Park (www.plantingfields.com), Long Island's premier public arboretum and historic site located in Oyster Bay, New York. A former Gold Coast estate, the arboretum is comprised of 409 acres of greenhouses, rolling lawns, formal gardens, woodland paths, and outstanding plant collections. Exclusive caters in the facility, Periwinkles offers a full bar plus gourmet sandwiches, finger foods and desserts. Visit their café at Planting Fields seven days/week Spring to Fall and their other location (visit Periwinkles Café at 6 Audrey Avenue Oyster Bay, NY) year round for lunch.

National Headliner, Mike Yard, is a New York Favorite. When not on stage, making new friends at well-known venues like The Improv, Caroline's, The Comedy Store, Rascal's, Stand Up NY, The Laugh House or The Mohegan Sun, Mike is appears on television, with appearances on The Apollo Comedy Hour, Russell Simmons Def Comedy Jam, (All Star Edition) BET's Comic View (1998-2002), Video Vixens on MTV, Comedy Central's Live at Gotham, HBO's Bad Boys of Comedy, and most recently ABC's "What Would You Do".

Long Island native Grant Gordon is a favorite in the NY comedy scene. He's a regular at Eastville Comedy Club, Caroline's and Stand Up NY and tours clubs and colleges across the country. He's been featured in the NY Times, TimeOut NY, Comedy Time TV, and as an actor in national television commercials. Grant also co-hosts a popular weekly comedy show with Comedy Central alum Louis Katz called Sack Magic, regularly featuring comedians such as Judah Friedlander (30 Rock) and Al Madrigal (Daily Show) every Monday at Legion Bar in Brooklyn.

Also a Long Island Native and former Hofstra Alumni of the Month, Paul DeGrocco, can be heard spinning the classics every week on B103.1 FM and every Summer since 2002 as MC for the Long Island Ducks. In 2007 Paul was voted Long Island's Offical Greeter by Newsday readers. In addition to comedy, Paul can be seen regularly with EIGHT IS NEVER ENOUGH Improv Comedy (AKA LMAO and Improv 4 Kids) and has worked in theater around the country including Broadhollow and The John W Engeman on the island. Paul is also hosting a New Talent Showcase Hour at 8pm before each Professional show. Come early have a few drinks and try your hand on a professional Comedy Stage.
