A few weeks ago the unimaginable was dividing the country now the imaginable - hurricane Harvey - is bringing out the best in America. Tropical storm Harvey is now running a conveyor belt carrying trillions of gallons of water from the ocean to the sky to the bayous and streets of the Houston as well as, other parts of Texas and Louisiana.
Project1VOICE, a not-for-profit service organization whose mission is to support and promote the American theater specifically the narrative of and by people of African descent is partnering with the Artist Co-op, a not-for-profit co-working space for the performing artists to present BETWEEN TWO-SHOWS TELETHON in New York from 3PM - 7PM on Wednesday August 30.
Artists in The New York area are asked to donate their talents to create awareness about the devastation caused by Harvey and to help raise funds for the American Red Cross or other organizations that are providing relief to those devastated by hurricane Harvey.
No funds will be collected during this event by Project1VOICE or the Artist Co-op for relief efforts at anytime. This telethon will serve as a way to inspire and encourage people to offer assistance of any kind in the Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. This brutal storm has pummeled the Texas and Louisiana area and is likely to be one of the nations costliest natural disasters.
