Middle Collegiate Church will celebrate the Supreme Court rulings on DOMA and Prop 8. Broadway's Branch Woodman (Cinderella and Priscilla Queen of the Desert) will sing the spiritual "God's Unchanging Hand" and the Middle Church Gospel Choir will celebrate with two high-energy selections, "Revolution" and "I Believe," before departing for their dynamic performance in the annual Pride March.
Rev. Adriene Thorne, Minister of Middle Church, will lead Sunday's worship and Sharon Groves of The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) will guest preach. As Director of HRC's Religion and Faith Program, Sharon helped HRC lead the way to marriage equality laws in three states last November.
"I am grateful to God for the historic rulings on marriage equality. These decisions reflect our country's movement toward justice. We are not there yet, but one day will glimpse love, liberation and justice for all people," said Rev. Dr. Jacqui Lewis, senior minister of Middle Church.
Come see the other side of worship this Sunday at 11:15 at Middle Collegiate Church
