The acclaimed Broadway production of Tracy Letts' August: Osage County is proud to welcome theater and television veteran Michael McGuire into the role of family patriarch "Beverly Weston," a role previously portrayed by Dennis Letts (father of the playwright), who passed away last week.

Michael McGuire received the Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle awards for his ensemble appearance in That Championship Season. His other Broadway credits include Hay Fever and Child's Play. Off-Broadway, he has appeared in Whistle in the Dark, Baal, The Cannibals, Pictures in the Hallway (Lincoln Center), and the title role in Macbeth (NYSF/Public Theater). A constant presence in L.A. theater, he has been the recipient of one L.A. Weekly Award and Six Drama-Logue Awards. Film appearances include Bird, Hard Times, and Report to the Commissioner. TV credits include "Meeting of the Minds" (Special Emmy Award), "Cheers," "West Wing," "Law & Order," and "The Practice."

August: Osage County, directed by Anna D. Shapiro, continues to star: Ian Barford, Deanna Dunagan, Kimberly Guerrero, Francis Guinan, Brian Kerwin, Madeleine Martin, Mariann Mayberry, Amy Morton, Sally Murphy, Jeff Perry, Rondi Reed and Troy West.

The designers are Todd Rosenthal (sets), Ana Kuzmanic (costumes), Ann Wrightson (lights), Richard Woodbury (sound) and David Singer (original music).

August: Osage County performs at the Imperial Theater (249 W. 45th St.) Tuesday-Friday at 7:30PM, Matinees on Wednesday and Saturdays at 2:00PM, Saturdays at 8:00PM and Sundays at 3:00PM through April 20th. As previously announced, August: Osage County will begin performances at the Music Box Theater (239 W. 45th St), on April 29th, 2008.
