Michael Lorz, Adam Davenport and Edward Tolve Head to MORE SUDS

Sam Affoumado's new play "More Suds" will receive an Equity staged reading with presentations on November 14-15 at the Playroom Theater in Manhattan. Edward Tolve, Michael Lorz, Adam Davenport, Mark Peters and Miguel A. Collado are set to star.

The play follows Marty Hardman (Edward Tolve) and his devoted city pals, Chris (the pretentious Chef de Cuisine--played by Michael Lorz) and Don (writer of children's books and Doctor Seuss enthusiast--Adam Davenport) to their new country digs. The peace and quiet of the countryside is shattered with the unexpected arrival of Marty's autistic Uncle Ira (Mark Peters) and a hot but kinky pondscaper (Miguel A. Collado). Adapting to the "country life" isn't as easy as it seems.

New York playwright Sam Affoumado is a theater critic and proud member of the Dramatists Guild. His play, Home Sweet Home, was a finalist in the 2012 Magnolia Arts Center's 10-Minute Play Contest in Greenville, NC. Peanut Butter Patty was produced and was a semi-finalist in the 37th Annual Samuel French OOB Short Play Festival. His play, The Finalist, was awarded runner-up status in the McLean Drama Company's 10th Annual 10-Minute National Play Festival and was performed at the Flashpoint Theatre in Washington, DC. Applause Theatre and Cinema Books (2015) published his latest work, The Bully's Eye, in an anthology called More 10-Minute Plays for Teens, edited by Lawrence Harbison.

Michael Lorz, a graduate of NYU-CAP 21, most recently co-starred in MCC's production of Philip Dawkins' "Charm" this fall; his television credits include Gotham, Difficult People and Elementary.

Adam Davenport, a Yale alum, recently co-starred on High Maintenance (HBO) and in Last of the Caucasians at the Barrow Group Theatre; his debut single "My Return Address Is You" spent 10 weeks this summer/fall on the Billboard Dance Club Chart.
A graduate of the Boston Conservatory, Edward Tolve received a New Hampshire Theater Award nomination for Best Supporting in a Musical for "Singin' in the Rain."
Mark Peters studied drama at Yale University and his stage credits include The Merry Muldoons (Vineyard Theatre) and The White Rose (The Public).

A military veteran, Miguel A. Collado is a skilled and bilingual actor with training in television and film.

The reading will be presented at the Playroom Theater, 151 West 46th Street (8th Floor), Manhattan. November 14th and November 15th @7pm. Admission is free.
