Michael Bublé's new CD "Crazy Love" jumped right into the No.1 slot on Billboard's Top 200 Pop Album Chart just three days after its release with 131,541 CDs sold, it was confirmed today by his label, Reprise Records.
Following a performance on the Oprah Show on the day of release (Oct. 9th), "Crazy Love," Bublé's first CD in two and a half years, gives him back to back No.1 pop albums. It is also the Grammy winner's 4th No. 1 album on Billboard's Top Jazz Album charts in five years. (His previous CD "Call Me Irresponsible" was No.1 on both charts).
"Crazy Love" also debuted at No. 1 in Australia and Canada where it is his fastest selling album ever. The CD is scheduled to be released today in Europe.
Bublé's current single, "Haven't Met You Yet," co-written by the artist, is his fastest growing single around the globe. It is his sixth top ten single on the Billboard A/C (Adult Contemporary) chart. In his native Canada, the "Haven't Met You Yet" single opened at No. 1 on the A/C charts - a first in the chart's history.
"This is a testament to Michael Bublé's growth as an artist and a songwriter as well as a great team effort," said Reprise label chief Diarmuid Quinn. "There is tremendous momentum at retail, impressive digital sales, rave reviews and high visibility including this week's The Today Show appearance. Our projections for next week's sales for "Crazy Love" are expected to remain strong," he concluded.
