Metropolitan Opera Cast Change Advisory: La Clemenza Di Tito ImageEmily D'Angelo will sing Annio in all performances of Mozart's La Clemenza di Tito, replacing Paula Murrihy, who has withdrawn for personal reasons.

A member of the Lindemann Young Artist Development Program, D'Angelo makes her Met debut this season as The Second Lady in Mozart's The Magic Flute, followed by performances as Sister Mathilde in Poulenc's Dialogues des Carmélites. She won four prizes in the 2018 Operalia competition, including first prize among women in the general division, the competition's Birgit Nilsson Prize, the Zarzuela prize, and the Audience Prize. This past summer she made her role debut as Rosina in Rossini's Il Barbiere di Siviglia at The Glimmerglass Festival in a new production by Francesca Zambello. She made her professional operatic debut in 2016 at the Spoleto Festival as Cherubino in Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro under the baton of James Conlon, and has also been seen as The Second Lady in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte with the Canadian Opera Company, Annio in Mozart's La Clemenza di Tito at Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, and as The Second Lady in excerpts of Die Zauberflöte with the Los Angeles Philharmonic led by Gustavo Dudamel.

The cast for La Clemenza di Tito includes Ying Fang as Servilia, Elza van den Heever as Vitellia, Joyce DiDonato as Sesto, Matthew Polenzani as Tito, and Christian Van Horn as Publio. Lothar Koenigs conducts.

Performances of La Clemenza di Tito begin March 30, 2019 and run through April 20, 2019.
