MESHELLE affectionately called "The Indie-Mom of Comedy" careens back into the Big Apple as a piece of her new pop-up tour. As she says, "you never know where I'm gonna POP-UP!"
Meshelle's brand of wild but family-style humor has brought her praise and accolades. From New York's Midtown Festival to the Atlanta Black Theatre Festival, "Diary of a MILF" (her original routine) has racked up laughs and lauds across the country with recent praise coming from Theatre Row, where she won the top prize for stand-up as part of the United Solo Festival and The Public Theater's Joe's Pub.
Meshelle has been a vivacious and visible personality on television for many years. Previous appearances include Nickelodeon's Search for the Funniest Mom in America 3; THE FIRST AMENDMENT STAND UP (on STARz); BET's ComicView; LaffMobb Presents:We Got Next; Soulaughable Comedy Series; and the NBC syndicated Documentary, Walk a Mile In My Shoes: 90 Year Look at The NAACP. As a stage actress, MESHELLE created the role of "Michelle" (portrayed by Kimberly Elise in the film adaptation) in the hit stage play, "Woman Thou Art Loosed" written by TD Jakes and Terry McFadden.
She is joined by John Moses. John Moses has been delightfully offending audiences throughout the United States, Canada and the U.K. for more than 15 years. He was a finalist at the Laughing Skull Comedy Festival in Atlanta and is a favorite at festivals all over including; The Boston Comedy Festival; The Asheville Comedy Festival; The Cottage Country Comedy Festival; and the Dark Comedy Festival in Toronto where he roasted Porn Legend Ron Jeremy.
"Brooklyn" Mike Troy also will appear that night. He was seen on two seasons of the "Dave Chappelle Show", "The Dave Attel Show", and the "Jon Stewart Show". He also appeared on NBC's "Showtime at the Apollo", HBO's "Def Comedy Jam", MTV's "Snaps", VH1's 'Hard Rock Live", and Fox's "Uptown Comedy Club". Mike's television appearances also include TruTV Lafftracks, Bounce TV's "Off the Chain", recurring roles on ABC's "One Life to Live" and NBC's "Law and Order".
