Menopause The Musical, the hit musical about "the change" is seeing change…in its performance schedule. Now a Thursday matinee will replace the Tuesday performance.
Now celebrating its 4th year of performances, Menopause The Musical will play Wednesdays – Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays at 3 p.m.
In addition to New York, the productions are or have played in Boston, Chicago, Cleveland, Orlando, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Detroit, Denver, Des Moines and Fort Lauderdale. International productions are being planned for the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Mexico, Brazil, Turkey and Israel.
Menopause The Musical, at Playhouse 91 (316 East 91st Street), has grooved its way through months of laughter, standing ovations and sold-out houses. The production continues to thrill audiences of all ages night after night with its charming and witty depiction of "the change" and even has them participating. Wives bring their husbands…and husbands bring their wives. Most see the show more than once.
Menopause The Musical is the musical parody that chronicles the meeting of four women at a lingerie sale in Bloomingdale's fighting over a black lace bra, with nothing in common but memory loss, hot flashes, night sweats, chocolate binges, wrinkles, plastic surgery, hormones, not enough sex, too much sex, and much more.
Menopause The Musical, which opened at Theatre 4, has brought its "healing power of laughter" to more than 1 million people throughout the world.
