The Hollywood Reporter reports that Melissa Errico has been cast in "MONY" (Mayor of New York), Spike Lee's new TV pilot on NBC.

She will play "Dolores" in the pilot, joining Bobby Cannvale (Hurlyburly).  Lee (The 25th Hour, Do the Right Thing) directs the pilot, which is written and produced by Tom Fontana.

The show "centers on a socially conscious New York public advocate (Cannavale) who is thrust into the position of becoming interim mayor and struggles to balance his moral center with the hardball realities of New York politics."

Tony-nominated for her work in Amour, Errico has also been seen on Broadway in Dracula the Musical, High Society, My Fair Lady, and Anna Karenina.  Off-Broadway credits include Aunt Dan and Lemon and Finian's Rainbow. She has also been seen at Encores! in One Touch of Venus and at the Kennedy Center in Sunday in the Park with George.
