MB Associates in association with the 18th annual New York International Fringe Festival - FringeNYC presents MOTHER, a new solo play by Broadway performer, choreographer and comedienne Melinda Buckley. Christine Renee Miller directs five performances from August 16-23, 2014 at Venue #5: The Celebration of Whimsy aka The C.O.W., 21 Clinton Street (between Houston and Stanton) in NYC.

A larger-than-life Hungarian "Mama Rose," is slowly slipping into dementia as her Broadway baby, Melinda slips into de'middle age. MOTHER is a 'sandwich generation' story told on the hoof with a dash of glitz. A tale of two women who are losing everything they've ever been-in very different ways-as they both lose each other. Who's it harder for? The one who can't remember? ...Or the one who can't forget?

Melinda Buckley has appeared on Broadway in several shows. Highlights include: Crazy For You, A Chorus Line and the great honor of working with Bob Fosse in the revival of Sweet Charity. She performed improv and sketch material with Gotham City Improv and Chicago City Limits and appeared as a stand up at Caroline's, Stand-Up NY and Gotham Comedy Club. She's written and performed three solo shows. Her most recent show, MOTHER was just featured in EAT's new works series: One Woman Standing.

On the other side of the table, highlights include directing Town Hall's hit musical series, Broadway By The Year and choreographing Paramour, which starred Len Cariou. She also choreographed Columbia Pictures' "Stuart Little I and II" with Geena Davis and Jonathon Lipnicki, the independent film "1999" with Amanda Peet and Jennifer Garner, and was assistant choreographer to Pat Birch on several projects, including the film "Working Girl" and "Saturday Night Live." Most recently, she choreographed an award winning promo for CBS' line up, and assisted Lonny Price as an SDC fellow in the filming of "Company," which starred Neil Patrick Harris, Patti Lupone, Stephen Colbert, and Christina Hendricks.

Melinda has written, directed and choreographed numerous commercial and corporate productions for such clients as Fox, ESPN, WE tv, Sesame Street, McDonald's, Microsoft, Pepsi, IBM, American Express and Audi. www.melindabuckley.com

Christine Renee Miller (Director) has directed premiere award-winning works by Mary Dimino (Big Dummy and Scared Skinny, Fringe NYC Outstanding Solo Show Award), Michelle Glick (Asian Belle, Midtown International Theater Festival Audience Award, Producer Award), among others. In New York and regionally she has directed Further Adventures of Swamp Girl (MITF, L.A. Women's Theatre Festival), Maybe Later (TIC Theatre), Make-out Queen (Emerging Artists Theatre), Drug Buddy (Assistant Director, Cherry Lane), Fiddler on the Roof! (Hamilton, NY), National Abolition Hall of Fame and In Your Company (Colgate University).

Christine's acting highlights include "The Cycle" (finalist for HBO short films), "Sister, Sister," "Party of Five" and "General Hospital". She is a writer, producer, and performer and has her own solo-show Baby Cow, and Such Nice Shoes. Currently collaborating with award winning and Emmy nominated playwright, Matthew Hoverman, she teaches the Hoverman writing method in their GoSolo classes. www.christineRmiller.com
