Young Frankenstein and its creator Mel Brooks will be featured on three NBC news programs this week: "The Today Show," "NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams" and "Weekend Today." Young Frankenstein opens at Broadway's Hilton Theatre Thursday, November 8.
On Thursday morning, November 8 "The Today Show" will broadcast excerpts from an exclusive interview NBC news anchor Brian Williams conducted with Mel Brooks. The "Today Show" segment will air between 8:30 – 9AM.
On Thursday evening, November 8, "NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams" will air a profile of Brooks during its 6:30PM broadcast.
On Sunday November 11, "Weekend Today" will air a Young Frankenstein feature including interviews with Brooks, director/choreographer Susan Stroman and principals Megan Mullally, Andrea Martin and Fred Applegate. "Weekend Today" airs 8 – 9AM.

Robert F.X. Sillerman and Mel Brooks present The New Mel Brooks Musical Young Frankenstein, a new musical comedy from the creative team of the 12-time Tony Award winning smash The Producers, opening on Broadway November 8 at the Hilton Theatre (213 W 42nd St).
The production stars Roger Bart (Dr. Frederick Frankenstein), Megan Mullally (Elizabeth), Sutton Foster (Inga), Shuler Hensley (The Monster), Andrea Martin (Frau Blucher), Fred Applegate (Inspector Kemp/Hermit) and Christopher Fitzgerald (Igor).
Young Frankenstein features a book by three-time Tony Award winner Mel Brooks and three-time Tony Award winner Thomas Meehan and music and lyrics by Brooks.
