Meijer Gardens Announces Call for Entries for Loeschner Art Competition

Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park is accepting two-dimensional entries for the Ray and Nancy Loeschner Annual Art Competition.

In celebrating its 12th year, the competition welcomes artists from across the state and around the globe. Through the generosity of the Loeschner family, the winning entry will be awarded a prize of $3,000 and will become part of Meijer Gardens' permanent collection.

"My family and I have long been inspired by Meijer Gardens," remarked Ray Loeschner. "We are excited that artists from around the world will have the opportunity to be inspired by Meijer Gardens."

Artists are encouraged to submit original works inspired by Meijer Gardens. To participate, digital images and prints as well as the application form must be submitted by November 2. If selected as a finalist, Meijer Gardens will request delivery of the original artwork on November 12. The winner will be chosen by January 7.

Since 2002, the Loeschner Art Completion has sought outstanding artwork inspired by Meijer Gardens.
