Meghan 'Big Red' Murphy to Headline 'The Big Red Show' at Feinstein's/54 Below Image

Songstress Powerhouse Meghan "Big Red" Murphy is a genre-defying, wise-cracking, sparkly gown-wearing, mic-dropping bombshell with a transformative voice and an old school style. If you don't think it's possible to see belty show tunes, gritty rock songs, clever mash-ups, outrageous parodies, rap songs, acoustic heartbreakers, and re-imagined classics all in one show, then you have never seen Big Red. She does it all. "A sparkling redhead with a dynamite voice,"(Chicago Sun Times), Big Red will host the party and take you on a ride from laughing loud to wiping away the tears as she encourages you to live life outside the box. Come see what all the fuss is about in an evening of songs, stories, sexiness and sass by the diva herself. Think Lucille Ball meets Bette Midler meets Jessica Rabbit. She's an old broad with a new twist. It's a brassy, bawdy, boozy good time! Big voice. Big laughs. Big Red.

Joining Big Red is her long time accompanist Jimmy Morehead (Music Director of the Chicago Gay men's Chorus, The Wiz; Theater Wit) on piano, with guitar, bass and drums to round out the set.

Meghan Murphy in The Big Red Show plays Feinstein's/54 Below (254 West 54th Street) on March 23rd at 9:30pm. There is a $30-$70 cover charge and $25 food and beverage minimum. Tickets and information are available at www.54Below.com. Tickets on the day of performance after 4:00 are only available by calling (646) 476-3551.
