Meet the Men of Andy Monroe's DRIVE at Musical Mondays: James Cochran, Chris Critelli and Tom Stuart

Artistic Directors Bick Goss & Frank Evans and Board President Stephen Hanks present the new musical: "DRIVE" with book, music and Lyrics by Andy Monroe, Outer Critics Circle and Jonathan Larson Award Winner for "THE KID."

Set entirely in the front seat of a car, "DRIVE" is a new musical features an unconventional romance: a 39-year-old married family man becomes involved in his first ever gay love affair with a high school senior and feels his former world crashing down around him.

Monroe's previous musicals for Musical Mondays include "THE LIFE AND TIMES OF JOHN JEFFERSON JOE BLOW" seen at the Greenwich Street Theatre and "THE TRAGIC AND HORRIBLE LIFE OF THE SINGING NUN" subsequently produced by the New York Musical Theater Festival.

DRIVE will be presented at The Jerry Orbach Theater, Snapple Theater Center, 210 West 50th, Just West of Broadway on Thursday, December 6, 6:30PM. Single Admission: $18.00; Subscriber Series of 3 remaining shows: $39.00 reservations@musicalmondays.org or call: 212-989-6706.

The new musical is directed by David Hilder. (Assoc. Director, "DEATH TAKES A HOLIDAY" (Roundabout) "THE ROYAL FAMILY" (MTC), and "FROZEN" (MCC) as well as NYC/World premieres of "DADDY" and "JUMPING BLIND." Musical Director Marcus Baker is on the faculty at NYU's Steinhardt School and has served as Music Mentor for the Metropolitan Opera Guild.

The men of the company are James Cochran (2nd year student in the Circle in the Square Professional Musical Theatre Workshop), Chris Critelli, (BAD WATER (Signature Theatre Workshop), "SENSE & SENSIBILITY," (Playwrights Horizons' workshop (dir. Marcia Milgrom-Dodge), Broadway's" and Tom Stuart, whose first job was in was in THE FANTASTICKS Off-Broadway. Other NY: A CHRISTMAS CAROL at Madison Square Garden (Choreo by Susan Stroman -opposite Emily Skinner), "DAMES AT SEA" (opposite Kristin Chenoweth). Frank Wildhorn's "DRACULA, " and "JOSEPH ….DREAMCOAT" as Donny Osmond's vacation replacement.

Their women are Bistro and MAC Award Winner Raissa Katona Bennett, "Christine Daae" in "PHANTOM", and Circle in the Square graduate Courtney Shaw ("THE BUTTERFLY," Mint Theatre).

Thursday, January 10: "THE PASSION OF ED WOOD," Book and Lyrics by Justin Warner, Music by Rob Kendt. Infamous '50s schlock director Ed Wood gets a chance to redeem himself by presenting his incredible life story.

Thursday, February 7: "CYNTHIA AND THE DREADFUL KITE," Music by Jonathan Comisar, Book and Lyrics by Webb Wilcoxson. When Cynthia is unfairly defeated in a Middle School kite flying competition, a whirlwind of complications follow. (Not Suitable for Children's audiences).
