Julio Monge (Compay) is an actor and director, whose role in the critically acclaimed Playwrights Horizons/MCC Theater’s production of John J. Caswell Jr’s Wet Brain, earned him a Lucille Lortel nomination. Broadway performing credits include On Your Feet, Jerome Robbins’ Broadway, Fosse, Paul Simon’s The Capeman and Lincoln Center’s Twelfth Night, among others. Monge directed the US premier of Baipás, a play by Puerto Rican filmmaker and writer Jacobo Morales. Recent tv and film credits include For Life (ABC) and Come Find Me (Indie Film). Monge served as artistic collaborator and consultant in Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story (2021). He was honored with the Performing Arts Lifetime Achievement Award, conferred by the Puerto Rican Day Parade Committee (2017).

MEL SEMÉ (Ibrahim) Born and raised in Camagüey, Cuba, Mel Semé’s passion for music led him to the prestigious University of Arts in Havana. He now divides his time between Barcelona, Los Angeles, and New York’s vibrant theatre scene. Influenced by Cuban rhythms, pop, folk, and jazz, his music is a captivating blend. With a sultry voice and masterful multi-instrumentalist skills, Mel Semé transcends borders, uniting audiences worldwide. His music is a bridge between cultures, showcasing the unifying power of melody.

Jainardo Batista Sterling (Rubén) Puerto Rican singer and percussionist Jainardo Batista comes from a family with a long tradition in music and theater in Puerto Rico. As a Jazz Ambassador of Jazz at Lincoln Center, he has toured Central and Northwest Africa as well as South America and the Caribbean. Additionally, he has performed in the Jerusalem Jazz Festival with Roman Diaz and Grupo Agolona; Essaouira Gnawa Festival (Morocco) with Colette Michaan’s Querencia; and Grammy-nominated Raices Haberas at New York’s Town Hall. Jainardo maintains an active performance schedule in NYC.

Isa Antonetti (Young Omara) (she/her/ella) is overjoyed and humbled to be making her Broadway Debut in Buena Vista Social Club! She is a Latinx, Indigenous, Mixed Race LGBTQIA+ actress and singer from the Greater Rochester, New York area. She is currently completing her BFA in Musical Theatre at Carnegie Mellon University. Previous credits include Evita (NYCC), Macbeth (CMU), and A Chorus Line (OFC Creations). She also stars as the lead in her film debut, Gift of Fear (On Native Ground). Making her debut in Buena Vista Social Club is especially meaningful for Isa, as it reflects her own experiences growing up performing with her father’s Latin band, Orquesta Antonetti. For Isa, music is synonymous with family, and this milestone is a tribute to everyone who has been a part of her journey. Wesley Wray (Young Ibrahim) Broadway debut! BFA Musical Theatre student at the University of Michigan (class of ‘26) and proud native of Miami, Florida. Wesley is a member of the Peter London Global Dance Company, celebrated for its distinctive Afro-Caribbean movement style. Wesley’s extensive training includes studying at the Alvin Ailey School, where he honed his skills in Martha Graham, Lester Horton, and ballet techniques. He further developed his classical acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, where he not only performed as Amiens and Silvius in Shakespeare’s As You Like It, but also composed the music for the production. While attending Michigan, Wesley has been seen in A Chorus Line (Mike Costa), Guys and Dolls (Harry the Horse), and most recently in Shaina Taub’s Twelfth Night (Duke Orsino). His most notable film credit includes working as a stand-in for Little in the Oscar-winning film Moonlight. Wesley is thrilled to make his Broadway debut, originating a role in such a beautiful, culturally enriching production. Born in Havana in 1985, Leonardo is a celebrated pianist, composer, and educator whose deep connection to Cuban music is rooted in his family. His grandfather, Rodolfo Reyna, was a violinist and arranger with the Orquesta Sensación, and his mother, a pianist, first introduced him to the piano. Leonardo’s training spans Latin America and Europe, including mentorship under the lineage of legendary pianist Claudio Arrau. He blends his Cuban heritage with classical mastery, winning over 15 international awards and composing music for films in Europe. His latest album, The Berlin Concert, fuses classical piano with early Cuban compositions, featuring Schumann’s “Carnaval” and Lecuona’s “Afro-Cuban Dances.” He recently recorded Chopin’s 24 Preludes and Carlos Fariñas’ “7 Sones Sencillos” at the iconic Emil Berliner Studios, continuing his dedication to both classical and Cuban traditions.

Renesito Avich (Eliades) is a Cuban singer-songwriter, musician, multi-instrumentalist, arranger and producer based in Florida. Renesito was nominated for the Latin Grammys in 2022 and 2023. He is also known as one of the greatest Cuban Tres Guitar players worldwide. He has collaborated and performed with stellar musicians including Oscar de León, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Willy Chirino, Niña Pastori, Albita Rodriguez, Leoni Torres, Rafael “El Pollo” Brito and Paquito D’Rivera.

Ilda Mason (Ensemble) was born and raised in Panamá where she began her acting career with productions such as Peter Pan (Peter Pan), The Beauty and the Beast, A Chorus Line (Bebe) and Hello Dolly (Minnie) among others. She was a professional dancer on Panamá’s “Dancing with the Stars” (Season 2 Champion). She made her feature film debut in Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story (Luz) and her Broadway debut with the same show, directed by Ivo van Hove. TV/Film credits include appearances in “The Equalizer” (CBS) and the upcoming feature musical film Kiss of the Spider Woman. Some of her favorite theater credits are Evita (A.R.T., Shakespeare Theater Company), Come Fall in Love (The Old Globe Theater), On Your Feet! (National tour), West Side Story (Paper Mill Playhouse, Signature Theatre), Cinderella (National tour), and Legally Blonde (China tour). Sophia Ramos (U/S Omara) Born in the Bronx, New York, Sophia cut her teeth as a member of the NYC hard rock band Sophia’s Toy who were signed to Sony/Epic Records. Sophia was soon named “Best Undiscovered Artist” by VH1 and was awarded the Abe Olman Excellence in Songwriting scholarship from The National Academy of Popular Music. She has collaborated with the likes of Metallica’s Jason Newstead, Psychotica, and Joey Ramone, and performed as a vocalist with an incredible variety of artists, including Rod Stewart, Gov’t Mule, Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Hudson and Jefferson Starship. Sophia is a veteran live and studio vocalist and voiceover artist. Her talents in both English and Spanish have been employed in countless commercials and jingles. Some of her theater work includes Robert Schenkkan’s musical The Twelve at Signature Theater, Arizona Theater Company’s production of Love, Janis, Berkeley Repertory Theatre and The Public Theater in New York City, in the ensemble cast of Party People created/produced by UNIVERSES and directed by Liesl Tommy. She went on to work with Liesl Tommy in Shakespeare Theatre Company’s production of Macbeth (2017), Huntington Theater production of Top Girls (2018). Justin was most recently seen as one of the series leads in the NBC comedy series Grand Crew. In theatre, he starred on Broadway in King Lear as well as The Winter’s Tale for The Public. Justin is a 2017 graduate of The Juilliard School.

Carlos E. Gonzalez. Associate Choreographer / Swing / Understudy Juan De Marcos, Young Compay & Young Rubén / Dance Captain. Carlos was born and raised in Bayamo, Cuba. He emigrated after his mother won the United States visa lottery and went on to graduate from Montclair State University with a BFA in Acting. After graduation, Carlos performed in several shows, including the national tour of In the Heights and the Off-Broadway sensation Fuerza Bruta. On Broadway, he was part of the workshops and original casts of On Your Feet, and the Ivo van Hove revival of West Side Story. Other credits include the film versions of In the Heights, Tick…Tick…Boom! and Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story. Carlos’ relationship to the performing arts has continued to deepen in Cuba as well. He returned to Cuba in a creative role for the productions of Carmen La Cubana and Rent—which was the country’s first Broadway musical produced by an American company in more than 50 years and is featured in the documentary Revolution Rent on HBO. He has also begun leading trips to Cuba with the purpose of connecting and enriching artists, under the name @TravelTheArtistWay. Being part of the BUENA VISTA SOCIAL CLUB™ production is a dream come true for Carlos, especially as it unites his roots in hearing these songs in the countryside of Cuba and getting to collaborate on the choreography as the associate to Justin Peck and Patricia Delgado. To step onto the Broadway stage to the words of these history-making songs in Spanish, representing his culture and homeland, will be an honor. Carlos is grateful to his husband for supporting him in doing this show and would like to dedicate this performance to his daughter Marina as she begins her journey in this world, and to the many creative artists who still find ways to create in Cuba today.

 Anthony Santos - Ensemble, U/S Young Ibrahim
Born in New York City, Anthony Santos began his training in dance, acting, and singing at Rosie’s Theatre Kids under the direction of Lori Klinger, where he studied from 2005 to 2013. During this time, he also trained at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater from 2009 to 2013. His summer intensives included Joffrey Ballet, Jacob’s Pillow, and Alonzo King LINES Ballet, all on full merit scholarships. Anthony graduated with a BFA from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts under the direction of Susan Jaffe. He joined the Dance Theatre of Harlem in 2017, dancing under the direction of Virginia Johnson until 2022. While with the company, he also performed as a guest artist with New York City Ballet, Miami City Ballet, Houston Ballet, and Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre. Following his time at Dance Theatre of Harlem, Anthony toured with the company of Hamilton: The Musical from 2022 to 2023. Most recently, he joined the touring company of Wicked from 2023 to 2024. He performed as a backup dancer for Jennifer Hudson in the Macy’s 2024 Thanksgiving Day Parade, under the choreography of Ebony Williams

 Martín Solá - U/S Compay, U/S Rubén, U/S Juan De Marcos
Martín Solá is a versatile actor, singer, and teacher based in New York City. His Broadway credits include How to Dance in Ohio, On Your Feet, The King and I, Coram Boy, and Baz Luhrmann’sLa Bohème. He has also established a strong connection at The Public Theater, appearing in Suzan-Lori Parks’ Plays for the Plague Year, Miss You Like Hell, Giant, Pirates of Penzance, and he was a member of the prestigious Shakespeare Lab. In addition to his Broadway and Off-Broadway work, Martín has been featured with the New York Pops at Carnegie Hall and has performed in numerous productions with New York City Opera and City Center Encores. Recently, Martín turned his interests to on-camera work, appearing as Father Russo in the NETFLIX series Archive 81, and guest-starring on FBI (CBS) and Law and Order SVU (NBC). During the pandemic, he wrote, directed, and starred in his first short film, May I Take It Your Plate, which earned Best Short Film and Best Actor awards at both the International Puerto Rican Heritage and the New York City Downtown Film Festivals. With over 30 years of experience, Martín has taught singing and coached actors for auditions, with many of his students performing on Broadway and in theaters across the country.  Tanairi Sade Vazquez - Swing, U/S Young Omara, U/S Young Haydee
Tanairi Sade Vazquez is a multi-talented actress, dancer and singer whose vibrant performances have captivated audiences across television, film and Broadway. Her theatrical journey has seen her perform in acclaimed productions such as The Great Gatsby, Hamilton, On Your Feet, Gigi, Wonderland and West Side Story Revival 2009. In the realm of television, Tanairi has showcased her talent most recently in The Equalizer, Season 5. Her first big shot was a recurring role as Annie Valdez in Orange Is the New Black. She can also be seen in Let the Right One In (Showtime), A Luv Tale (BET Plus), Law and Order SVU (NBC), The Blacklist (NBC), The Deuce (MAX), The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (Amazon Prime), Fosse/Verdon (FX), and NBC’s Smash. Tanairi has also made her mark in film, appearing in Steven Spielberg’s remake of West Side Story as a featured shark girl, Charita. Most recently, Tanairi starred in Nochebuena as Jennifer, which had its world premiere at the NYLFF and is now available on Prime Video. Tanairi won the Best Featured Actress award at the Georgia Latino Film Festival for her leading role performance as Jennifer in Nochebuena.
