Maureen Taylor to Release 'Cosmic Connections: The Lyrics of Michael Colby'

Brainstorm Records announces the April 23rd release of Vocalist Maureen Taylor's recording: Maureen Taylor: Cosmic Connections - The Lyrics of Michael Colby. The collaboration between Taylor and Colby will feature nineteen Colby songs. The album will be available for streaming and purchase on all the major music outlets (as well as a limited number of CDs for purchase at the release party).

Taylor is a classically trained singer and an award winner in the Monastero Bel Canto Competition. She studied with Renata Tebaldi and Carlo Bergonzi and has performed classical roles across the US and the UK. In Switzerland, she performed the role of Madame Giry in The Phantom of the Opera in both English and German. Taylor is featured on the platinum-selling CD Incantation with Tim Wheater.

Maureen Taylor will celebrate the CD Launch on April 23rd at 4PM at Don't Tell Mama in NYC with one performance. The venue is at 343 West 46th Street between 8th and 9th Aves. Michael Colby is known as the creator of such unique musicals as Charlotte Sweet (with Gerald Jay Markoe), Tales of Tinseltown (with Paul Katz), Mrs. McThing (with Jack Urbont based on a book by Mary Chase), the Broadway bound Dangerous (with John C. Introcaso), and Slay It with Music (with Paul Katz), among other shows. He is the author of the memoir The Algonquin Kid: Adventures Growing Up in New York's Legendary Hotel.
