Alamo Theatre will present Three-Ways, a comedic look at three people's distinct view of the same incident, written and directed by Matthew Barton. Three-Ways will open on August 24 at Altered Stages Theatre (212 West
29th Street, between 7th and 8th Avenues) and run through September 2.
"Featuring beer, brownies, narcotics and a rude chicken,
Three-Ways melds
Rashomon, 'SNL' (the early Joe Piscopo years) and 'Murder She Wrote,' according to press materials. "Ted (R.J. Foster) and Lisa (Monica Cortez) return from a weekend away only to find out 'It's gone!' Ted's friend, Runner (Vince Lombardi) watched the apartment while they were gone, he is 'the only one that could have done anything with it.' Lisa believes Runner is a disgusting pervert. Ted thinks Lisa over-reacts. Runner imagines something entirely different."
"Alamo Theatre was formed in 1998 by a group of Texans who wanted to perform original, quirky comedies (with the occasional dark drama). Since then, the group has produced about a dozen plays at venues throughout the city."
Show times are Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. All tickets are $8.00. For reservations or more information about the show, please call 646-822-6381 or visit
