GLEE star and frequent stage and screen presence Matthew Morrison has Tweeted a stunning new photo depicting himself gazing into the famous Manhattan skyline and also revealed the scheduled songlist for many dates of his upcoming tour in support of his superb theatre-themed solo album, WHERE IT ALL BEGAN, in the process.
In the photo, Morrison holds a song sheet listing many of the hits featured on the album as well as a few surprises, as well, comprising the show he successfully performed to wowed crowds last week and earlier this week in his series of dates at NY cabaret venue 54 Below.
Among the songs featured on WHERE IT ALL BEGAN, and, also, in Morrison's live shows - past, present and future - are his current radio single "It Don't Mean A Thing" as well as many musical theatre standards such as "Luck Be A Lady" from GUYS & DOLLS, "Hey There" from THE PAJAMA GAME, "As Long As She Needs Me" from OLIVER!, "Send In The Clowns" from A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC and many more.
Additionally, Morrison performs a few non-album tunes in his solo shows, including "It's All Right With Me" and "Stomping At The Savoy".
Morrison will be performing at a number of venues across the country in the coming months. Follow him on Twitter here.
Morrison commented on his new tour and what we can expect from the live shows in our very recent InDepth InterView. Applicable comments follow:
"PC: What additional songs can we expect from your live shows that do not appear on the album?
MM: Hmm. Let me see - well, we do "Don't Get Around Much Anymore" at the live shows, too. There are a few others, depending on the night and the venue and everything else. We'll see.PC: You will confirm that we can count on a reprise of your incomparable "Younger Than Springtime", though, yes? MM: Oh, yeah - absolutely! Absolutely, we will be doing that."Check out the entire InDepth InterView: Matthew Morrison from last weekend here
