Today, March 4, Matt Harrington joins the cast of Matilda. He will be playing the role of Mr. Wormwood, Matilda's father, and replacing Gabriel Ebert. Harrington recently appeared in Broadway's Twelfth Night and Richard III, which transferred from the Shakespeare's Globe in 2013.
Matilda is the story of an extraordinary girl who dreams of a better life. Armed with a vivid imagination and a sharp mind, Matilda dares to take a stand and change her own destiny. The book was written by Dennis Kelly and the music/lyrics were written by Tim Minchin. The Tony Award-winning musical is based off the children's book Matilda by Roald Dahl.
Harrington will be performing alongside Chris Hoch as Miss Trunchbull, Jill Paice as Miss Honey, and Leslie Margherita as Mrs. Wormword. The role of Matilda is shared by Paige Brady, Gabriella Pizzolo, Ripley Sobo, and Ava Ulloa.
