Martin Vidnovic, who currently stars as "Bellomy" in The Fantasticks, the world's longest running musical, will star for one night only in the finale concert of the 18th Annual New York Cabaret Convention to be held at Lincoln Center's Frederick P. Rose Hall (Broadway at 60th Street) on Thursday, November 8 at 6PM.
The convention runs November 5 – 8 and is sponsored by the Mabel Mercer Foundation. The November 8 finale concert, entitled "For Edythe, With Love" is a loving musical remembrance of Edythe Kenner, a great friend to The Mabel Mercer Foundation who cherished cabaret, its stars and songs.
Vidnovic will perform "We Kiss in a Shadow / This Nearly Was Mine" and "Lydia, the Tattoed Lady." Both songs were heard in "Martin Vidnovic: What Matters To Me," the performer's NY cabaret debut show which took place at The Metropolitan Room this past July / August. The concert will also feature Adam Alexander, Christine Andreas, Klea Blackhurst, Lilianne Montevecchi, Sidney Myer (who will receive the Paula Laurence Award), Mark Nadler, Craig Rubano, KT Sullivan, Wesla Whitfield, and Amra-Faye Wright.
Tickets for the concert may be purchased at the Lincoln Center Box Office (Broadway at 60th Street, ground floor) or by calling CenterCharge at 212-721-6500.
