Bloomingdale's 59th Street unveils its 2011 holiday windows with entertainment that includes the powerful voice of Martha Wash and cast members from Broadway's Tony Award winning hit Priscilla Queen of the Desert The Musical performing the song they recorded for the 2011 Broadway's Carols for a Cure, Vol. 13. The track, entitled "Light It Up!" was written especially for this recording by Jason Michael Webb and Lelund Durond Thompson. Additionally, Martha Wash, one of the original "The Weather Girls," will sing a solo version of the 1982 classic disco anthem "It's Raining Men."
The performance will be 5:00 p.m., Wed., November 16th at Bloomingdales, 59th and Lexington Avenue, NYC.
Priscilla Queen of the Desert The Musical cast members scheduled to appear with Martha Wash include J. Elaine Marcos, Jeff Metzler, Keala Settle, Mike McGowan, Thom Allison, Luke Mannikus, Gaten Matarazzo, Jacqueline B. Arnold, Anastacia McCleskey, Esther Stilwell and Nick Adams.

The 2011 Broadway's Carols for a Cure, Volume 13 also is available now in Broadway theaters. Lovers of Broadway talent can do holiday shopping as well as support Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA) through the purchase of this 2-disc, annual CD of original and traditional holiday music from the current 2011 Broadway line-up. As always, the CDs will be available during the six-week "Gypsy-of-the-Year" fundraising period, which continues through early-December at participating Broadway and off-Broadway shows in New York. Additionally, the CDs are available at select venues throughout the U.S., including The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC; The LA Phil Store in Disney Hall, and The John W. Engeman Theater in Northport, New York.
