Whatsonstage.com reports that Matthew Marsh and Paul Freeman have been cast in the upcoming West End revival of David Mamet's Glengarry Glen Ross.
They join the previously announced Jonathan Pryce and Aidan Gillen in James MacDonald's (Drunk Enough to I Say I Love You) West End revival of the play, which begins at the Apollo Theatre from September 27, 2007. Designed by Anthony Ward and with lighting by Howard Harrison, Glengarry Glen Ross will have its press night on October 10 and is now booking until January 12 2008. Pryce plays Shelly Levene and Gillen will play Richard Roma, with Marsh (West End The Goat, Copenhagen) as Dave Moss and Freeman (West End Art, Orpheus Descending) as George Aaronow.
"Glengarry Glen Ross is David Mamet's modern classic set in an office of cut-throat Chicago salesmen. Pitched in competition against each other, they will do anything, legal or otherwise, to sell the most real estate. In this world of high stakes and hard sell, the mantra is simple: close the deal and you've won a Cadillac; blow the lead and you're f***d," state press notes.
Glengarry Glen Ross is produced in the West End by Mark Rubinstein, Ron Kastner, Patrick Myles, Jeffrey Richards, Jerry Frankel and JAM Theatricals.
