On March 6th, 2012 Mario Spinetti kicks off his New York residency at Drom with The MicRo-Mantic Informal … a "zero-pressure, all-ages-welcome, gym-style dance" featuring live performances of songs like "Revolution", "Wonder Woman", and "Annabelle" off of his debut LP.
Mario is a New York-based singer-songwriter who merges an advanced sense of sound-play with his very own brand of accessible, feel-good pop.
According to press notes, his parents are opera singers and he owes his clarion vocal whim to more than heritage: as a child he meandered the backstage of opera theaters, allowing curiosity to become second nature in his very own cosmopolitan wonderland.
After graduating from LaGuardia High School of Performing Arts, and the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music, Mario reconstructed his youth as urban architect to an electronic playground, and created the singular tapestry that has resulted in his debut, self-titled LP.
