Tony Award-winner Marian Seldes, currently starring in Deuce on Broadway, will be interviewed on XM Satellite Radio's "Downstage Center" on XM-28 on Broadway. The interview runs Friday, June 15 at 6:00 PM, Saturday, June 16 at 12:00 PM, Sunday, June 17 at 7:00 PM and Wednesday, June 20 at 12:00 AM (Eastern Times). "Downstage Center" is a co-production of XM Satellite Radio and The American Theatre Wing, hosted by John von Soosten and Howard Sherman.
Four time Tony Award-winner Angela Lansbury and Tony Award-winner Marian Seldes star in Deuce, the world premiere of a new play by four-time Tony Award-winner Terrence McNally, and directed by two-time Tony Award-winner Michael Blakemore.
Lansbury and Seldes star in Deuce "as two former doubles tennis legends, reunited at a championship tournament. As they watch a singles match grow increasingly heated, the two women reminisce on the sidelines, remembering past triumphs and unearthing forgotten truths, in Mr. McNally's tender and unexpectedly moving new play," state press materials.
Seldes won a Tony for A Delicate Balance, and has been nominated for her performances in Father's Day, Deathtrap, Ring Round the Moon, and Dinner at Eight. Last season, she earned rave reviews for her performance in Mr. McNally's Dedication, or the Stuff of Dreams.
Deuce is playing at the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street). The production will play a strictly limited engagement through August 19. Tickets are on sale at TeleCharge at 212: 239-6200, online at www.Telecharge.com, or in person at the Music Box Theatre box office.
