Maria Friedman Returns Tonight To The Woman in White

Maria Friedman, the multi Olivier award winning star of The Woman in White, returns to the show tonight after her recent surgery. The show will open as scheduled on Thursday, November 17th at the Marquis Theatre (211 W 45th St).

Friedman had played just three previews when she was diagnosed with stage one breast cancer last week and underwent surgery on November 3rd. During the week of performances Friedman missed, the role of Marian Halcombe was performed by her understudy Lisa Brescia.
