Solo performer Margery Kreitman brings her show KICKING FACEBOOK to the 2016 United Solo Theatre Festival on October 26, 2016, A hilarious and touching serio-comic monologue of her breakup and subsequent addiction to social media, KICKING FACEBOOK plays at Theatre Row: 410 West 42nd Street, New York City.

Kicking Facebook, written and performed by Margery Kreitman and directed by Jayne Wenger is a hilarious, harrowing and very real story of internet dependency. Margery learns to maneuver in the digital world and finds how easy it is to become addicted to electronic life while trying to find love and connection in her search for a match

Kicking Facebook is Margery Kreitman's serio-comic solo performance about her love/hate relationship with social media. After the breakup with her long-time partner, Margery turns to the internet for diversion, and to find love and connection. Distracted from the world, and unable to write, she finds herself clicking on just one more pet video, news story or dating site, and becomes rapidly addicted to life on the internet. Distracted from the world, she lives her life online, and rapidly becomes addicted and trapped in a web of internet videos, loops and jargon.

Margery Kreitman is a San Francisco playwright, creator and curator of LEZWRITES!, a reading series for lesbian writers, and also a monologist and solo performer. Her solo pieces, The Boot, A Singular Story and Soul Stone were launched in the 3Girls Theatre reading series. Margery's other solo works include Home Plates (Dean Goodman Choice Awards), Thirty Years Later, Phenomenal Dread of Intimacy, Mug Shots, Payday at Pukalani (A Maui Fringe Festival winner) and Bouncing. Her most recent solo work, Kicking Facebook, was presented in 3Girls Theatre's 2015 Salon series. Her award-winning comedies, one acts, and sketch comedy shows have been produced in San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York and her short stories have appeared in numerous journals and reviews. She has taught Theater Arts extensively at public and private schools, including ACT'S Young Conservatory, The Academy of Art University, and The New Conservatory Theatre Center.
