Toronto is about to get a whole lot funnier with the return of the SheDot Festival. For the second year, Canada's only festival showcasing all female comedians kicks off April 30 - May 3, 2015 at Comedy Bar (945 Bloor St W). In addition to four days of stand up, sketch, improv, storytelling, workshops and panels, SheDot Festival hosts a closing night gala at the The Danforth Music Hall (147 Danforth Avenue) on May 3. Headlining the gala is none other than the agent provocateur of stand up, Margaret Cho.

"The SheDot Festival recognizes what has always been true: that women are funny. I am excited to celebrate with the hilarious ladies in Toronto," explains Cho.

Cho comes to Toronto for SheDot on the heels of her Golden Globes appearance as a Korean dictator and the recent launch of her new TLC late night show, "All About Sex."

In addition to her brazen brand of comedy, Cho is an outspoken advocate in the non-profit sector, especially for gay rights and anti-bully campaigns. She is an accomplished film and Emmy nominated television actress who has been nominated for three Grammy Awards for Best Comedy Album.

Tickets for the gala go on sale at 10:00 am, January 23, 2015.

The four day festival is accepting submissions for workshops up until January 23, 2015. Questions and submissions can be sent to info@shedotfestival.com.
