Marcovicci, Akers, Molaskey & More Perform at Oak Room in '06

The Algonquin Hotel's Oak Room (59 E. 44th Street, between 5th and 6th Avenues) has announced its spring 2006 line-up, which will feature performances by Karen Akers, Jessica Molaskey and a triple appearance by cabaret queen Andrea Marcovicci, among others.

Marcovicci will perform at the Oak Room three times this year.  She is currently saluting the great dancer and movie star in Andrea Sings Astaire through January 21st, and will return with I'll Be Seeing You...Love Songs of World War II from January 24th through 28th.  From May 16th through June 10th, she will sing of just love; the singer will take audience requests for romantic songs.

Critically-acclaimed singer Maude Maggart will perform at the Oak Room from January 31st through February 26th, while Young Artists Competition winner Samantha Sidley will be seen at the luxe venue from February 28-March 11.  KT Sullivan will be joined by Mark Nadler for an evening of song from March 14th through April 1st .

Karen Akers, the husky-voiced songstress who has appeared on Broadway in Grand Hotel and Nine, will perform from April 4th through May 13th, while theatre and cabaret star Jessica Molaskey (Songs for a New World, Parade) will follow her act from June 13th through July 1st.
