Broadway stars Marc Kudisch and Jeffry Denman, the self-proclaimed Holiday Guys, are in the studio this week to record their acclaimed Happy Merry Hanu-Mas show. The album will be released by Yellow Sound Label later this year.

Happy Merry Hanu-Mas is described as "a non-traditional, traditional holiday show celebrating the Jewish and Christian backgrounds of its two stars who convey 'Smothers Brothers-like folksiness and charm.' Hilarious, irresistible and unpredictable the show features singing and dancing to new arrangements of holiday songs, comedy bits, special guests and 'Hanu-Mas surprises' that show what the holidays are really supposed to be about."

The show was successfully previewed at the Gotham Comedy Club in December 2009, had segments presented at the Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles in 2010 and was presented last year at MusicalFare Theatre in Buffalo NY. The Holiday Guys in Happy Merry Hanu-Mas, co-produced by Adam Friedson & Neil Berg (York revival of Closer Than Ever, The Death of the Novel, 100 Years of Broadway) will tour this December with venues to be announced.Marc Kudisch is a three-time Tony Award nominee. His Broadway credits include Bells are Ringing, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Thoroughly Modern Millie, 9 to 5 and Roundabout’s Assassins. His TV appearances include Blue Bloods, Smash, and Gossip Girl.

Jeffry Denman is a Drama Desk, Lortel and Astaire Award nominee. His Broadway credits include Irving Berlin’s White Christmas, The Producers, How To Succeed and Cats as well as the off Broadway production of YANK! and Encores’ Face the Music. He is the author of the book, A Year with The Producers.

The Holiday Guys in Happy Merry Hanu-Mas album will feature songs including “Do You Hear What I Hear,” “God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen,” “Jingle Bells,” “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas,” and “Holly Jolly Christmas” among others - all done in the “Holiday Guys Style” featuring original arrangements by Kudisch & Denman as well as Dan Lipton, Ross Patterson and Timothy Splain.

Timothy Splain (Adding Machine, A Minister’s Wife) serves as pianist as well as Music Director. The rest of the Holiday Guys band includes Ritt Henn on Bass and Michael Croiter on Drums. Kudisch is featured on guitar and Denman on Ukulele and Djembe.

Yellow Sound Label has produced cast recordings for The Burnt Part Boys, John Tartaglia’s ImaginOcean, and The Next Thing You Know as well as the solo albums for Chita Rivera, Alan Cumming, Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich and Jim Caruso among others.
