Octoberse Media plans to release projects from concept albums to Broadway cast recordings to live captured theatrical films.
Mara Isaacs, founder of Octopus Theatricals has launched Octoverse Media, a new multi-media platform for the release of music, film, and other multi-media recordings. Integrating the worlds of theater, music, and film, Octoverse Media is dedicated to nurturing artists as they move fluidly across genres, and plans to release projects from concept albums to Broadway cast recordings to live captured theatrical films. Ian Blackaby will serve as Octoverse’s project manager of music releases.
“In the entertainment industry, the various genres tend to live in separate and isolated ecosystems,” said Isaacs. “As a producer and builder of worlds, I’m interested in bringing people together. The artists we work with refuse to limit their vision to any one sector, and Octoverse Media will be there to support them regardless of genre.”
Upcoming releases from Octoverse Media will be announced shortly, many from artists and projects currently under the Octopus Theatricals umbrella which includes the current Broadway revival of Gypsy and the highly anticipated new musical Goddess.
