Mamma Mia!'s Carolee Carmello on XM Radio's "Downstage Center" - January 14

Broadway belter Carolee Carmello, currently starring as Donna Sheridan in the smash hit musical MAMMA MIA!, and Resident Director Martha Banta sit down with American Theater Wing Executive Director Howard Sherman and XM radio program director John Von Soosten on XM Satellite Radio's "Downstage Center" on Friday, January 14 broadcast nationwide on XM 28 at 6:00 p.m. (eastern).

Co-produced by XM Satellite Radio and The American Theatre Wing "Downstage Center" also airs: Saturday, January 15 at 12:00 noon; Sunday evening, January 16 at 7 p.m. and late Tuesday evening (Wednesday morning) January 19 at 12 midnight on XM Satellite Radio's Channel 28.

Carolee Carmello shares stories from her celebrated musical theatre career including working with Hal Prince and her Tony Award nominated turn in Parade and starring on Broadway in Urinetown, Kiss Me Kate and The Scarlet Pimpernel. Martha Banta, who also serves as the artistic director of the Adirondack Theatre Festival, discusses the challenges and rewarding process of maintaining a long running hit musical and the infectious energy that Mamma Mia!'s audience members find contagious every night around the world.

On February 12, 2005, when Mamma Mia! begins previews in ABBA's homeland of Stockholm, Sweden in a first time ever Swedish translation,  it will mark the 6th foreign language translation of Mamma Mia! and the 14th production of the smash hit currently running around the world.
