Malpaso Is The New Generation Of Cuban Contemporary Dance Image

Did you ever dream of seeing Martha Graham, José Limón, or Mark Morris when they were just starting out?

Since 2014, Malpaso has grown into Cuba's best-known Contemporary Dance company. They were scouted in Cuba by respected Brooklyn choreographer Ronald K. Brown, and have been building a following at The Joyce Theater and around the world every year since.

The program includes choreography by Artistic Director Osnel Delgado and the New York premiere of Azure Barton's Indomitable Waltz set to the music of Alexander Balanescu, Michael Nyman, and Nils Frahm.

Contemporary dance built on Ballet technique with Afro-Cuban flow is something you want to see. See the future at The Joyce!
