The critically acclaimed Making Books Sing will premiere two new musicals for family audiences in the 2014-2015 season. The Amazing Adventures of Harvey and the Princess and The Beautiful Game come on the heels of last season's hit shows Ballerina Swan and Dear Albert Einstein (Off-Broadway Alliance Award nomination).

Harvey is an amazing kid who doesn't need much to be happy - just his family and his imagination. When he accidentally gets shipped to Pink Mountain Island (in an imaginary box!), he meets a Princess whose royal family needs a lesson in fun and togetherness. This upbeat musical, directed by Marty Johnson (James and the Giant Peach, The Adventures of Flat Stanley) celebrates what happiness is really all about. Best for ages 3-8.

Inspiration plays a big part in the new family musical The Beautiful Game with books and lyrics by James Sasser and music by Vince Burwell (Cubamour). The musical tells the story of Reina, an over-confident young soccer player who, with help from the legendary Brazilian soccer player Pele, learns to add teamwork and sportsmanship to her game. This world premiere directed by Carlos Armesto (Louis Armstrong: Jazz Ambassador) includes hip-hop and samba-inspired songs, with music spun by a DJ live on stage. Best for ages 8 and up.
