Machado's Kissing Fidel Closes a Week Early on October 16

The off-Broadway play Kissing Fidel will close a week early, on Sunday, October 16th.  The show was originally to have ended its run at the Kirk Theatre (410 W. 42nd Street) on Sunday, October 23rd.  It opened on September 20th.

Written by Eduardo Machado and helmed by Michael John Garces, the show is set in a Miami funeral home, where
"The matriarch is dead. The exiled family is in mourning. Her grandson announces that he is going back home to Cuba to kiss and forgive Fidel Castro. The fun begins," according to press notes.

The play features Bryant Mason, Karen Kondazian, Javier Rivera, Lazaro Perez, Judith Delgado, and Andres Munar.  Kissing Fidel boasts sets by Mikiko Suzuki, lighting by Paul Whitaker, costumes by Meghan E. Healey and sound by David M. Lawson.

The show's performance schedule is: Tuesday: 8:00 PM - Wednesday: 8:00 PM - Thursday: 8:00 PM - Friday: 8:00 PM - Saturday: 3:00 PM, 8:00 PM - Sunday: 3:00 PM.  Tickets, which are $25 to $40, can be ordered by visiting www.ticketcentral.com.
