Manhattan Theatre Club's critically acclaimed world premiere of The Commons of Pensacola, the new play by Amanda Peet, directed by MTC's award-winning artistic director Lynne Meadow, starts the final week of its smash hit run Tuesday, February 4 at MTC at New York City Center - Stage I (131 West 55th Street).

Sarah Jessica Parker will appear on "CBS This Morning" on Monday, February 3 (8:30 AM EST) and MSNBC's "Morning Joe" on Tuesday, February 4 (7:30 AM EST) to discuss her role in the new play, working again with co-star Blythe Danner, and appearing in her third play at Manhattan Theatre Club.

THE COMMONS OF PENSACOLA must end its extended run on Sunday, February 9. On that date it will have played 34 preview performances and 92 regular performances.

THE COMMONS OF PENSACOLA stars Emmy and Tony award winner Blythe Danner, Zoe Levin (The Way Way Back), Ali Marsh ("In Plain Sight"), Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner Sarah Jessica Parker, Michael Stahl-David (Cloverfield), and Nilaja Sun (No Child...).

Judith (Blythe Danner) has been divested of her assets and forced to leave her luxurious New York life after her husband's Wall Street scam became headline news. When her daughter Becca (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Becca's filmmaker boyfriend (Michael Stahl-David) pay Judith a visit to the one bedroom condo Judith now occupies in Pensacola, Florida, everyone's motives are called into question. How will past and present circumstances inform how this family moves into the future?

THE COMMONS OF PENSACOLA is an incisive and funny new play about trying to love your family even when you hate what they've done.

This new play marks the reunion of Danner and Parker who previously starred together in MTC's 1995 hit production Sylvia by A.R. Gurney.

The creative team for The Commons of Pensacola includes Santo Loquasto (scenic design), Tom Broecker (costume design), Jason Lyons (lighting design), Jill BC Du Boff (sound design), and Thomas Schall (fight director).

Lead support for The Commons of Pensacola is provided by MTC's Producing Fund Partner, Andrew Martin-Weber. Special thanks to The Harold and Mimi Steinberg Charitable Trust for supporting Manhattan Theatre Club. Additional support for The Commons of Pensacola is provided by The Blanche and Irving Laurie Foundation.
