Legendary two-time Tony Award-winning Broadway icon Bernadette Peters is one of many familiar faces who appear in the new Amazon prospective pilot Mozart in the Jungle, which has just been officially picked up to series by Amazon following its audience popularity according to a new report.
Of note, Peters guest stars alongside Malcolm McDowell in the pilot episode of the new series created by Broadway's own Alex Timbers along with film notables Paul Weitz, Roman Coppola and Jason Schwartzman, based on the book by Blair Tindall.
The official description of Mozart in the Jungle is as follows: "Based on the memoir Mozart in the Jungle by Blair Tindall, Mozart in the Jungle is all about sex, drugs, and classical music. It shows that what happens behind the curtains at the symphony can be just as captivating as what happens on stage. Visit AmazonOriginals.com to see Mozart in the Jungle and the rest of our pilots and help us decide which shows should become a series."
Actors in the pilot episode include: Gael Garcia Bernal, Lola Kirke, Saffron Burrows, Constantine Maroulis, Jennifer Kim, Peter Vack, Bob Dishy, Joshua Bell, Hannah Dunne, Raymond McAnally, Gabriel Millman, Rachel Zeiger-Haag, David Shih, Katie Webber, Brenna Palughi, Samuel Stricklen, Afra Hines and Kaitlin Mesh.
