Book of Mormon cast members Nic Rouleau, Will Blum,  and Jason Michael Snow are set to perform on Monday, July 16 in MORMONS: A Musical Cabaret of Godly Proportions, a special benefit cabaret at Triad NYC.  They will be joined by a host of Broadway performers singing musical theater songs for "saints and sinners alike". All proceeds will benefit the 2012 FringeNYC production of #MormonInChief, a new play by Matthew Greene.

Ryan Simmons will host the 9pm cabaret that will also include performances by Jacob ben Widmar (Book of Mormon Nat'l Tour, White Christmas), Nikki Bohne (Bring It On), Stephanie Umoh (Ragtime), Kendal Hartse (On a Clear Day...), Seth Baird, Jeremiah Ginn, Becca Schwartz, and Jeffrey Scott Stevens. More guest performers will be announced soon.

#MormonInChief is a world premiere play written by Matthew Greene, directed by Austin Regan, and produced by Michael Holt. According to its website, #MormonInChief is the story of Connor Jorgensen, “An unassuming Mormon who becomes the center of national media frenzy when his tweets about a Mormon presidential candidate go viral. Inspired by comments the candidate allegedly made in a church meeting, Connor spreads his presidential pick’s views on “the gays, gangsters and bleeding hearts”, leading ambitious reporter Lydia Strout to his door. As Lydia tries to find the man hiding behind the orthodox Mormon facade, and Connor navigates the unfamiliar world of Tweets, news feeds, and blogs, both are forced to confront the choice between living by facts or walking by faith.” More information about #MormonInChief is available at www.mormoninchiefplay.com
