Marymount Manhattan College and The York Theatre present "Theatre Smash", created and directed by Bill Castellino, music direction by Doug Oberhamer.
Theatre Smash is an original music theatre happening that has been crafted with the ensemble and curated by the director. Through the rehearsal process, an ensemble is created that contributes pieces that are meaningful to individuals as well as creations that are made collaboratively. These pieces are collaged to make a narrative about discovery, ego, reality, trauma, and understanding. Theatre Smash is a cultural collision that uses music, movement, dance, literature, original writing and songs, excerpts from the news, poetry and other creative expressions smashed together to explore the notion of otherness, identity, and harmony.
The cast will feature: Steven Beemsterboer, Alex Burnette, Bryan Cortes, Alora Eisen, Fara Faidzan, Chris Huey, Anthony Ieradi, Jessie Jordan, Max Lamadrid, Olivia Mattsey, Noah Pyzik, Henry Raber, Katie Risko, Journee Wagner.
Performances at The York Theatre (under St. Peter's Church at 54th/Lexington) March 21-24 at 8pm, March 24 also at 2pm. Tickets available via EventBrite
