The hotly anticipated revival of international smash hit mega-musical MISS SAIGON by the team of Alain Boublil and Claude Michel-Schonberg is gearing up for a West End revival spearheaded by original producer Cameron Mackintosh and one of the stars of the new production is already on location in the UK preparing to play her part.
Rachelle Ann Go is set to play call girl Gigi Van Tranh in the upcoming 25th Anniversary West End production and has shared some impressions and candid photos from her journey via social media earlier this week.
Go first posted a shot of her farewell dinner in the Philippines, commenting, "Last send off dinner na talaga 'to...".
Then, Go shared an image taken on the plane, writing, "Bye Manila for now... See you after 14months. I will miss everyone!!! New journey... Here we go!!!#TheSaigonDiaryofRachelle".
Now in the UK, Go has posted a series of photos depicting her various tourist stops as she prepares to begin rehearsals - among them, the famed Notting Hill, the London subways and more.
For instance, remarking upon her first subway experience, the star shared, "First tube experience--all by myself!!i hope i could find my way!hala! #thesaigondiaryofrachelle".
MISS SAIGON begins performance at the Prince Edward Theatre on May 3.
